Robert Jensen

Robert Jensen was a Broadcast Engineer and an Amateur Radio operator born and raised in Nebraska.  Bob was the son of John C Jensen, 9YD, an early amateur.  Mr. Jensen graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1933.  He contributed time and energy to many historical projects and has three titles in the Nebraska State Historical Society production "Film Clips of Nebraska's Past" entitled:

Robert R. Jensen, early radio in Lincoln, 1935

"Man on the Street," radio program, Robert R. Jensen, 1935

KFAB-KFOR egg hunt, 1935, Robert R. Jensen

In 1958 Jensen received the Nebraska Wesleyan Alumni Association Alumni Achievement Award. During the 1960's and 70's Bob and his wife Lenore Jensen were vital members of the US Army MARS program handling over 78,000 phone patches between them from Vietnam.

He can not be thanked or praised enough for his dedication, helpfulness and good humor in assisting in-country troopers speak to their stateside loved ones.  May he forever have clear signals and great propagation.
