Wes Armstrong served over 21years active duty and
another 10 in the Fleet Marine Reserve. After retiring he, wife Sue
and family set up homestead in Fort Worth TX. Wes joined the Marines
in 1951, serving combat tours in Korea and Vietnam. He spent most of
his career as a photo (imagery) interpreter. His assignment to
N0ASM/NAV2 and NAV MARS stations came at the close of his active duty
career. Wes was always available for emergency health an welfare
messages and loved rag-chewing from his home in Fort Worth. He
passed away from a heart attack at the early age of 54. He is
missed. |
