Born in Batavia, New York. For many years lived in Niagara Falls, NY. Upgraded to Advanced class in Hawaii. Spent 14 years living on Guam, then cruised for 12 years on a Chinese junk in the southwest Pacific. Member of Navy Mars since Dec. 1988. Marine shell collector and Advanced SCUBA Diver. Ran maritime mobile net called Gunkholers Net for 9 years, and acted as relay station for Pacific MM Net, Canadian MM Net and Tony's MM Net out of New Zealand. Member of the Handflappers Net of Australia, and YL International Single-Sideband System.
