Norvel Bowen, born in Havelock, NE about 5 miles east of Lincoln he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve during World War II and was a combat wounded veteran. During the Vietnam War, he and his wife Connie were an integral part of Operation Hello and completed many thousands of phone patches for Marines fighting in Vietnam. |
