SP4  1969-70

Started in grade school and in high school joined the radio club K7HZH in Tempe Arizona and have always had a short wave radio handy.  I still listen every night.  I used to call home on a regular basis while in DaNang to my teacher in Tempe Mr Richard Nix or Senator Barry Goldwater’s station in Scottsdale Arizona they had great phone patch systems.  Never could keep up with the code, still have a bad time just can’t make it out.  It’s very sad because I always wanted to be a ham radio operator even today.  Well enough said I’ll try to get some one to help with the pictures ASAP! Feel free to use any portions or all of my memories!!!  

Still think about it to this day.  I am worried about ham radio going by the way side.  It is a great pastime with my disability I enjoy it more now than ever especially the shortwave part.  Can’t handle the cell phone thing guess I’m still a little bit old fashioned!! 

Would give my eye teeth to be a ham radio operator!! (It brings a tear to my eyes not to be one enough said!!) More stations would be the greatest and to let today’s generation know what they are missing!!
